EEL Program

About

Protects natural habitats by acquiring environmentally sensitive lands for conservation, passive recreation, and education.

Through a professional advisory board of scientists, professional staff, and volunteers, acquired lands are restored and maintained to protect sensitive plants and wildlife, and to provide wildlife greenways. Restoration and maintenance are done by removing trash and invasive plants, planting native species, and by use of prescribed burns.

The mission of the Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program includes use of the lands for conservation, passive recreation, and environmental education
